1.0 OBJECTIVE:
To lay down a procedure for entry & exit procedure for microbiology lab.
2.0 SCOPE:
This procedure is applicable for entry & exit procedure for microbiology lab .
3.0 RESPONSIBILITY:
Microbiologist
4.0 ACCOUNTABILITY:
QC Manager.
5.0 PROCEDURE:
5.1 Entry procedure
Entry in QC Airlock I; remove street shoe or slipper.
Wear the lab slipper.
Gown the Lab coat and cap.
Enter in Microbiology area.
5.2 Enter for sterile area of Microbiology
Enter in air lock I of microbiology area.
Remove the lab coat, cap & slipper.
Sanitize the hand with IPA 70%.
Wear the sterile dress (Boiler shoot, head guard, booties & gloves).
Re-sanitize the hand with IPA 70%.
Enter in Sterile area for working.
5.3 Exit procedure
After completion of testing / work.
Enter in Return Air lock.
Remove the sterile dress (Boiler shoot, head guard, booties & gloves).
Exit from Sterile area and wear the lab coat, cap & slipper.
6.0 TRAINING:
Trainer : Manager – Quality Control
Trainees : Staff of the microbiology departments
7.0 DISTRIBUTION:
Master Copy : QA Department
Controlled Copy : Microbiology Department
Display Copy : Microbiology Department (If Required)
