To lay down the procedure for Cleaning and operation of Sieve Shaker.

- Dismantle Sieves clamping knob, top lid and sieves.
- Clean the Sieve shaker with dry lint free clothes.
- Clean the Sieve clamping knob, top lid and sieves with nylon brush and wash with potable water.
- Finally rinse with purified water and dry in compressed air.
- Operation
- Ensure that instrument is clean.
- Place the instrument on leveled sturdy base.
- Fix the rods on the top plate of the instrument and ensure that they are tightly fitted.
- Place the material to be sieved into the top sieve.
- Cover the top sieve with top lid & Place the horizontal bar so that rubber pad touches the sieve.
- Lock the bar to the vertical rod by turning the sieve clamping knob in the clockwise direction.
- Switch on the power.
- At power ‘’ON’’,the display will flash the start up screen for once and then the screen for the time and power setting.
- Set the desired mode of operation in either continuous or intermittent.
- The desired power level and Time set by the increment/decrement key provided on the front panel for the ‘’POWER’’ and ‘’TIME’’ respectively.
- Time can be set from 1 – 99 min and the power level can be varied from 5 – 20.
- Press the start key from the front panel to start the test. The display now shows the elapsed time and set value of the power.
- After completion of the test loose the sieve clamping knob by turning it in anti-clockwise direction.
- Put out the top lid followed by the horizontal bar.
- All the sample shall be weighed (retain on the sieves and receiver).
- After completion of test ‘’SWITCH OFF’’ the sieve shaker.

Remarks: – 1. Do not start the instrument without loading or without locking the sieves.
2. Do not use dissolvent or any hard material for cleaning.
