- OBJECTIVE:
To lay down a procedure for sampling and analysis of water.
- SCOPE:
This procedure is applicable for procedure for sampling and analysis of water.

- PROCEDURE:
- Sampling of Raw Water / RO Water / Purified
Water for Chemical Analysis
- Take the clean & dry 1000ml of glass bottle in SS basket.
- Take 1000ml of glass bottle for raw water sample & 600ml of glass bottle for RO & purified water sample for chemical analysis.
- Affix the label on sample bottle.
- Sampled the water and analysis.
- Drain the water for 5-20 seconds and take the water sample in glass bottle, rinse the glass bottle 3 -5 times.
- After rinse the glass bottle take the water sample in glass bottle about 1000ml for raw water / 600ml for purified water and RO water for chemical analysis.
- Performed the chemical analysis as per standard testing procedure for purified water, RO Water & raw water.
- After take the sample as per schedule note down in Sampling Inward for Water.
- Analysis the water sample as per specific standard testing procedure and maintain the record specific protocol of water.
- Generate the A.R.No. AR/RW/XXYYYY for Raw Water
- AR is Analytical Report.
- RW is Raw Water.
- XX is year.
- YYYY is serial no. 0000 to 9999.
- Generate the A.R.No. AR/RO/XXYYYY for RO Water
- AR is Analytical Report.
- RO is RO Water.
- XX is year.
- YYYY is serial no. 0000 to 9999.
- Generate the A.R.No. AR/PW/XXYYYY for Purified Water
- AR is Analytical Report.
- PW is Purified Water.
- XX is year.
- YYYY is serial no. 0000 to 9999.
- Analysis of Raw Water:
- Analysis the raw water as respective following
parameters.
- Description
- pH
- Total Hardness as CaCO3
- Calcium Hardness as Ca
- Magnesium Hardness as Mg
- Chloride as Cl
- Total Dissolve Solid (TDS)
- Microbiology Analysis
- After completion the analysis by chemically if water is complies as per standard testing procedure then water is release for further use and water is not complies with respect chemically as per standard testing procedure, water is hold and take the again sample and analysis.

- Analysis the RO water as respective following
parameters.

- Analysis the RO water as respective following

- Heavy metals
- Nitrates
- Oxidisable substances or Total organic carbon
- Microbiology Analysis
- After completion the analysis if water is complies with respect chemically as per standard testing procedure then water is release for further use and water is not complies with respect chemically as per standard testing procedure, water is hold and take the again sample and analysis.
