REPLACEMENT OF CARTRIDGE FILTER

  1. OBJECTIVE

          To lay down the procedure for replacement of cartridge filter.

  • SCOPE

This SOP is applicable in water system for replacement of cartridge filter.

  • RESPONSIBILITY
Water system operators/ Engineers : To follow the procedure
  • ACCOUNTABILITY

Head Engineering                                   :    System Compliance

  • PROCEDURE
    • Check the initial reading of cartridge filter & record.
    • Check the initial pressure differential across the cartridge filter, it should be less than 0.5 Kg/cm2. Record the detail.
    • .Pressure differential across the cartridge filter increase due to fine suspended solid that passes multi grade sand filter in the water are entrapped in it.
    • If the pressure differential crosses the limit than replace the filter.
    • Frequency:  when the Pressure differential across the cartridge filter reach above 0.5 Kg/cm2 or at least once in a three month.

            Trainees : Engineering- Executive & Supervisors.
