- OBJECTIVE
To lay down the procedure for cleaning & sanitization of R.O. System & R.O. Water Storage Tanks.
- SCOPE
This SOP is applicable in Water System for cleaning & sanitization of R.O. System & R.O. Water Storage.

- PROCEDURE:
- Ensure that high pressure pump outlet valve & R.O. outlet valve is close.
- First Cleaning:
- Take 500ltr. R.O. water in the tank and add 4 kg. Enviroclean reagent type MCA and dissolve.
- Open the pump valve and switch ON the Pump.
- Let it re-circulate through membrane for one hour.
- After one hour drain the reagent.
- Second Cleaning:
- Take 500 ltr. R.O. water in the tank and add 4 kg. Enviroclean reagent type MCB and dissolve.
- Open the pump valve and switch ON the Pump.
- Let it re-circulate through membrane for one hour.
- After one hour drain the reagent.
- Rinsing:
- Clean the tank with RO water.
- Rinse the RO membrane with RO water for 10 minutes.
- Sanitization of R.O. System & RO Water Storage Tanks:
- Fill the tank with RO water (Approx. 500 ltrs.).
- Heat the RO water up to 90°C.
- Switch ON the pump and let it re-circulate for one hour.
- After drain Rinse the RO membrane with RO water for 10 minutes.
- Write the detail.
- Frequency: At least once in month.
