OPERATION OF REVERSE OSMOSIS (RO) PLANT

1. OBJECTIVE

             To lay down the procedure for operation of RO plant.

       SCOPE

This SOP is applicable in Water System for operation of RO plant.

• PROCEDURE
  • Pre-requisite:
    • Ensure the sand filter, carbon filter and dosing units are proper functioning.
    • Ensure that RO reject and control valve is fully open
  • Operation:
    • Open the valve of Raw Water before starting RO plant.
    • Switch ON the RO Water System Panel.
    • Start the raw water supply pump.
    • Back wash the sand filter about 10-15 minute and then back wash closed.
    • Back wash the carbon filter about 10 – 15 minute and then back wash closed.
    • Open the all valve of supply for drain the water.
    • And after 5 minute, high pressure pumps ON.
    • Start the Antiscalant dosing during preparation of RO water.
    • RO Water prepared about 500 lit and then OFF the RO system.
    • Maintain the record of log book of RO Water System. 
  •        Note: If RO water is not used within 48 Hours (2 Days) then drain the RO water & sanitize the   tank.
