- OBJECTIVE
To lay down the procedure for cleaning of utensils (Scoops, Spatula, Spoon, SS containers etc.) used in Dispensing .
- SCOPE
This SOP is applicable for cleaning of Utensils (Scoops, Spatula, Spoon, SS containers etc.) used in Dispensing.
- RESPONSIBILITY
Stores Personnel : To follow the Procedure
- ACCOUNTABILITY:

- PROCEDURE
- Clean the utensils during Batch Changeover/ Product Change Over / end of shift.
- Stores Officer / nominee shall collect the utensils in a polybag / SS container and affix duly filled and signed “TO BE CLEANED” label.
- Take the polybag / container to the equipment washing area.
- Take out the utensils and wash it thoroughly with potable water and use nylon scrubber wherever required. If required use teepol solution for cleaning of utensils used for dispensing of Oily / sticky materials.
- Check the utensils visually for cleaning and if it appears clean then rinse it with purified water and dry with compressed air and finally mop with 70% IPA.
- After cleaning, keep the utensils individually in clean polythene bag, affix duly filled and signed ‘CLEANED” label and store in SS container labeled as “CLEANED EQUIPMENTS”.
- If the cleaned utensils remain unused for 48 Hours (2 Days), it should be cleaned before use using lint free cloth and change the status label.
- Clean the barrel pump.
- Enter the details in cleaning record for Utensils used in Dispensing of raw material
