- OBJECTIVE:
To lay down a procedure for Operation & Calibration of ultrasonic bath.
- SCOPE:
This procedure is applicable for procedure for Operation & Calibration of ultrasonic bath.

- PROCEDURE:
- Operating Procedure
- Ensure that the instrument is clean and suitable for use.
- Ensure that all the switches are ‘OFF’ in normal position and the level of water in the ultrasonic is up to the basket.
- Switch ‘ON’ the main power supply of the instrument.
- Set the required time for sonication with push the CHK button by navigation key.
- Put the sample container into the basket of ultrasonic
- Press the ‘ON’/OFF button which is located on the front body of the ultrasonic.
- After completion of the time ultrasonic stop automatically.
- After completion of the work switch ‘OFF’ the main power supply.
- Change the water, when it seems dirty or turbid.
- Maintain its usage log book.
- Operating Procedure
- Calibration:
- Calibrate the ultrasonic Timer by using the calibrated stopwatch.
- Switch ‘ON’ the main power supply unit and set the time 5 min, 10 min, and 15min respectively and match the time with Calibrated stop watch.
- Maintain the calibration record of ultrasonic Timer.
- Frequency of the calibration of ultrasonic Timer is once in 3 months.
- Precautions:
- Instrument should be handled properly.
- If the instrument does not produce satisfactory results it should be labeled ‘Under Maintenance’ or ‘Out of Order’.
