To lay down the procedure for operation and cleaning of Vacuum Cleaner.
- SCOPE
This SOP is applicable in stores for operation and cleaning of Vacuum Cleaner.

- PROCEDURE
Operation:
Ensure that vacuum cleaner is clean.
Ensure that the filter is properly connected.
Attach the nozzle and pipe as per requirements.
Fit the plug to nearest electric socket.
Switch ON the mains.
Hold the pipe and press the foot operated ON/OFF switch or switch ON the vacuum Cleaner as applicable.
The vacuum cleaner gets started.
After completion of work press the foot operated ON/OFF switch to OFF the vacuum cleaner or switch OFF the vacuum cleaner as applicable.
Unplug the vacuum cleaner.
Cleaning:
Unplug the vacuum cleaner.
Dismantle the accessories.
Open the lid of the hose.
Remove the filter bag.
Empty the filter bag in cleaned Poly Bags and collect the dust in Poly Bags and send the poly Bag in scrap area.
Dry cleaning of filter bag shall be done on daily basis, wet Cleaning of filter bag shall be done as an when required with Purified water till it is visually found ok. Dry the filter bag by using compressed air. Clean the lid of the hose by moping with wet lint free cloth followed by dry lint free cloth. Set the filter bag and closes the lid. Clean the outer surface of Vacuum Cleaner & electric cable by moping with lint free cloth. The vacuum cleaner is ready for use. Affix the duly filled and signed cleaning status label.
Enter the details in cleaning record of vacuum cleaner.
Replace the filter and filter bag as & when required.
Important:
Do not use on wet surfaces.
Disconnect the cleaner when not in use.
Do not use in the area where inflammable liquids are stored.
Do not use the vacuum cleaner without filter.
In case any problem inform to Engineering Department.
